Please contact us with your test equipment repair requirements. We specialise in the 1980's onwards Marconi Instruments equipment such as the 2955, 2965, 2966, 2967, 2945, 2018, 2019, 2022 etc, but will consider anything.
Repairs are usually assessed initially from your fault description and availability of service information. The initial assessment aims to establish the probability of a successful repair. Unfortunately some repairs are not possible because the replacement parts are simply no longer available, and we aim to identify such cases before wasting your time and money. In some cases, second hand or alternative parts may be available and these will be offered where appropriate.
Once a repair is deemed possible, you will be responsible for arranging delivery and collection, either in person or by courier of your choice. An estimate will be provided once the unit has been examined, and if approved, the repair will be completed. Please note, this is an estimate, not a quote. On occasion, repair of the initial fault may reveal further problems which will require further quotes. You are free to decline quotes at any point, however, all repairs and parts up to that point must be paid for. Alternatively, in some cases we may offer to take the faulty unit for spares in lieu of payment.
All completed repairs carry a 3 month warranty. Please note, the warranty only covers the work done for that particular repair, e.g. if we repair a synthesiser fault in a piece of equipment which then fails again with the same fault within 3 months, that would absolutely be covered. If we repair a synthesiser fault a in a piece of equipment and the power supply fails a week later, this would be considered a separate fault and would not be covered. Warranty claims for faults deemed to have been caused by misuse will also be declined, e.g. attenuators damaged by excess power, input stages damaged by over driving, signal generators damaged by reverse power, etc.
The warranty covers the cost of a repeat repair, however, there may be occasions where parts are no longer available, in which case a full refund will be made.
